4. Apply for residence housing

Residence Guarantee - for September (fall) entry

Residence at our Keele and Glendon campuses is guaranteed to first-year students who meet the housing application deadline in June.

For up-to-the-minute details about on-campus housing and residence living, visit the Housing website: www.yorku.ca/studenthousing.

Important

• You can apply for residence as long as you enrol, and plan to remain in, a minimum of four courses (24 credits).
• Room allocations and offers of residence will begin at the end of June (that's when we'll tell you if you got in).
• Priority consideration is given to you if you are coming from a distance as long as you apply before the deadline.

How to apply

• For September entry, the residence application is available starting April 1.
• Submit your application for residence online through MyFile.
• The residence application will only be available if you've been admitted to undergraduate degree studies. (You cannot apply before you've been admitted.)

Residence - for January (winter) entry

Residence is typically not available to those starting in January. However, you can request a residence application from the Housing office by calling 416-736-5152. For more information, visit the York Residence web site at www.yorku.ca/studenthousing.

Another option is off-campus housing.

Glendon campus
Student Housing Services maintains a listing of accommodations available off-campus.
